1000 years Great Seventh Day God's Rest

There remains then a rest for the people of God. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. (Hebrew 4: 9,11) Therefore, since the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. (Hebrew 4:1) For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work; just as God did from his. (Hebrew 4: 10)

What does mean that God’s Rest?

And He has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the Seventh day God rested from all his work.” (Hebrew 4: 4, Genesis 2: 2-3) We know every week comes seventh day, but the question is which Seventh day Rest is remaining?

Let’s find in scripture.

In 2peter chapter 3, Peter wrote about Second coming of Lord Jesus. And he wrote, “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: with the Lord’s a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2Peter 3:8) What Peter wants to say here? Do not forget means keep remember. Why? Let’s find the answer. How many years ago did God created the earth? Let's calculate: 2000 years from creation to Noah, from Noah to Jesus 2000 years and Jesus to us 2000 years. Total 6000 years. According to 2Peter 3:8 the 1000 years = 1 day then, 6000 years = 6 days and after 6 days 1000 years 7th day Rest is remaining. That means God has given us only six days to finish our work. God said, “Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But Remember the Seventh day to keep it holy. (Exodus 20:9, 8)

Where shall we keep this God’s rest?

Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many MANSIONS; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14: 3)

When will this seventh day of 1000 years begin?

We all know that the seventh day comes after six days. Jesus declared in the Olivet Discourse “He shall send his angels with a loud trumpet call and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Matthew: 24:31. Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord (Jesus) in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.”

Jesus said, “Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of the God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.” Rev: 20:6. Therefore the weekly seventh day is the reminder of God’s Great 1000 years heavenly Seventh day Rest.

God said, “Moreover I also gave them My Sabbath to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. Hollow My Sabbath and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. (Ezekiel 20:12,20)
